Mary Matha Arts
and Science College of the Diocese of Mananthavady, started in
October 1995, is the dream realized of the people of the district of
Wayanad. |
 |
It was a long
cherished desire of the settlers of Wayanad
to have adequate infrastructural facilities for quality
higher education. The diocese of Mananthavady,
in an effort to realize the aspirations
of the people, decided to start
the college. The principal objective of Mary Matha Arts and Science
College is to impart quality higher education to the children of tribal
people and other rural natives of Wayanad, the most backward
district in the educational arena of Kerala. The management, the
Principal, the staff, the parents and the tudents
are striving hard to achieve |
|
the motto of Mary Matha,
“Education for Total Liberation”. |
It is with immense pleasure that I introduce Mary Matha Arts & Science
College, established in 1995 under the management of the Catholic
Diocese of Mananthavady, |
|
which has taken great strides in higher education within the
very short span of its existence. We are striving to keep pace with the
rapidly changing education scenario, working with cutting edge
technology. The college aims at the holistic development of
students, who will disseminate knowledge to the people around
through their committed endeavors for the uplift and progress of the |
 |
|
community -- which
is predominantly tribal -- in this hilly, underdeveloped northern
part of Kerala. May God bless each and everyone of us. |
