P P Shaju MCJ

(Completed PhD, On Deputation as Course Director, Kannur Univ. Dept of Journalism & Mass Communications)

He is a member of the Academic Council and Board of Studies in Journalism of Kannur University.

He is presently a part-time Ph.D. research scholar in the Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Calicut, under the supervision of Dr. Syed Amjed Ahmed, Director, AVRC, and Calicut. Research topic is: An Exploratory Study of Portrayal and Negotiation of Culture: A Study of  Malayalam Television Serials.

Authored a book Principles and Practice of Journalism (2001) published by Calicut University Central Cooperative Store

Co-authored an article titled ‘Mass Media and Exposing Corruption’ in the book Political Communication:The Indian Experience edited by Dr. Kiran Prasad. It is published by BRPC (India) Ltd., New Delhi in 2003.

Presented a paper on Attitude towards Sex and Violence among College Students in a national seminar organized by Dept. Journalism, Mangalore University on December 21& 22, 2001.

He worked as a reporter in United News of India (UNI), Thiruvananthapurm and The New Indian Express, Thiruvananthapurm.
