Journalism is taught as an ancillary subject. Political Science is
the other subsidiary subject.
A
well equipped language lab, audio visual facilities and the library
are integral components in the teaching programs.

Seminar on Broadcasting and Script
Writing for the students
of Functional English. Prof. John Sankaramangalam, former Director
of Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, gave a series of
talks on broadcasting, script writing and film production.

September 1999
A Documentary Film Festival was conducted. It was inaugurated
by Mr. O. K. Johney (noted documentary film director).
4th January 2002
A seminar on ‘The Cultural History of Wayanad’ was held
jointly by the Department of English, Mary Matha Arts and Science
College Mananthavady, and AIR- Kozhikode.
